How To Make Bread pudding

Step 1:

We begin the preparation of our bread pudding, for this, preheat the oven to 180° C/ 356° F, then in a pot at low temperature, add the 8 tablespoons of sugar, 7 tablespoons of water and let it cook until it takes a golden color (as we show you in the video, be careful with the temperature, it should not be too high because it could burn the caramel), when we already have the caramel ready, remove it from the heat and we will pour it into the mold where we will prepare our bread pudding, let it cool.

Step 2:

Cut the bread into pieces and add it in a bowl, then, in a saucepan add the milk, sugar and cook over low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved, then remove from heat, add the vanilla essence and stir until integrated.

Step 3:

Add the milk in the container where we have the bread and let it soak for 5 minutes, then in another container add the eggs and beat them, then add the beaten eggs to the bread mixture and with the help of an electric whisk, beat everything well until it is well blended.

Step 4:

Incorporate the mixture into the mold with the caramel, cover very well with aluminum foil and cook it in a bain-marie, to do this, place the container with the pudding in another larger container and add water until it covers half of the pudding container, then take it to the oven and cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes at 180º C/ 356° F.

Step 5:

After the cooking time, remove from the oven and let it cool completely, then take it to the refrigerator for 4 hours or until it cools, once it is cool, remove the aluminum foil, carefully run a knife around the edges to unmold it better, pour it on a tray (not flat so that the caramel does not spill) and we have our delicious bread pudding ready!
