Today I show you how to prepare a chocolate cold cake that is very easy and quick, one of those that take us very little time in the kitchen but are really delicious and make us succeed in front of our guests, follow our step by step videos and discover how to prepare this magnificent cold cake.

Step 1:
We begin the preparation of our cold chocolate cake, for this, we crush the cookies for the base, you can use an electric grinder or simply put the cookies in a plastic bag and crush with the help of a rolling pin, it is important to crush very well so that the texture is like powder.
Step 2:
In a bowl we are going to add the cookies, the melted butter and mix everything very well, then in a mold for cake or tartlet (28 cm) we pour and spread them to cover very well, both the bottom and the walls, it should be well compacted, take it to the oven for 10 minutes at 180 ºC (after the time, remove from the oven and let it cool).
Step 3:
In a saucepan over medium-low heat, add the milk and cream and when it reaches temperature, add the chocolate until it melts completely (remove from the heat and let it cool a little), then add the eggs and mix well until well blended.
Step 4:
Pour the chocolate mixture into the container with the cookie base and take our chocolate cake in the oven at 150 ºC / 302 ºF between 30 and 35 minutes, after the cooking time, remove our chocolate cake from the oven and let it cool completely (you will see that the chocolate cake shakes a little when you move it, but it will be compacted when it reaches room temperature) add the chocolate chips on top and take our chocolate cake to the refrigerator for 3 hours, but it will be compacted when it reaches room temperature) add the chocolate shavings on top and take our cake to the refrigerator for 3 hours, after the time in the refrigerator, remove our cold chocolate cake, serve and enjoy.
Tips for preparing Cold chocolate cake
When adding the eggs to the chocolate mixture for our cake, it is important that it is not too hot, as it will cook the eggs and that is not what we want.
If you prefer a more intense chocolate flavor, use a chocolate that has a 70% cocoa value.
When removing the cake from the oven, let it cool completely, during this process the cake will finish compacting, then take it to the refrigerator.
You can decorate this cold chocolate cake with chocolate shavings (you can make them using a potato peeler) or with cocoa powder.
