Today we are going to prepare a very simple but delicious dish, beer-braised chicken, ideal for any occasion and also supports a lot of garnishes to accompany it, no doubt, is an excellent choice when we want to eat a delicious and uncomplicated baked chicken.
Ingredients
- 4 whole chicken thighs (with thighs and thigh bones)
- 1 onion cut into julienne strips
- 1 green bell pepper cut into strips
- 3 potatoes cut into slices
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Juice of one lemon
- 1 can of beer of your choice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
How To Make It
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our beer chicken, for this, we place the chicken in a bowl and add salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary and spread very well.
Step 2: Then in an oven-proof container, first add the potatoes, a little salt, the peppers, the onion, the chicken pieces, the lemon juice, the beer and take our chicken to the oven at 200 ºC / 392 °F for 1 hour (in the middle and with heat up and down) halfway through cooking with the help of a brush, bathe the chicken with its juices and continue cooking.
Step 3: Once the cooking time is over, remove our chicken from the oven, place the pieces on a plate, add its own sauce on top and our delicious beer-braised chicken is ready.
Tips To Prepare It
For this beer-braised chicken recipe, you can use whole chicken, thighs, whole thighs or whatever you prefer, if it is a whole chicken, you can ask your butcher to cut it into pieces.
For this recipe use the beer you like best, I used a light lager.
