Ingredients
- 4 pieces of skinless chicken
- 1 onion cut into small squares
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 390 ml. of crushed natural tomato
- 60 ml. of white wine
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
How To Make It
Step 1:
We begin the preparation of our chicken stew with tomato, for this, we salt and pepper our chicken pieces, then, in a pot with a little olive oil and medium high temperature, we will seal our chicken on both sides, when they are already sealed we remove them from the pot and reserve them.
Step 2:
In the same pot, add the onion, garlic and let cook for 2 minutes, then add the white wine and let evaporate all the alcohol (about 2 minutes) then add the crushed tomato, a little salt, dried thyme, a little pepper, stir and let cook for 2 minutes.
Step 3:
Add the chicken pieces, cover and cook over medium low heat for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, remove from heat, serve on a plate, add some fresh parsley and our chicken with tomato is ready!
Tips To Prepare It
For this recipe of chicken stew with tomato, we use chicken legs and chicken thighs, but you can also prepare the recipe with chicken breast, the difference would be in the cooking time, for chicken breasts, with 10 minutes you have them ready!
For this chicken stew with tomato, we use natural crushed tomato, the one sold ready in supermarkets, but you can also crush the tomatoes in the blender.
To give a special touch to the tomato sauce, you can add some basil leaves.
