Ingredients
- 300 g. canned chickpeas
- 1 onion, diced
- 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 200 ml. of crushed natural tomato
- 150 ml. of natural vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon of powdered sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
How To Make It
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our stewed chickpeas, for this, in a casserole with a little olive oil and over medium heat, add the onion, garlic and let cook for a couple of minutes.
Step 2: Add the red bell pepper and the green bell pepper and cook for 5 minutes, then add the crushed tomato and cook for 5 more minutes.
Step 3: Add the chickpeas and stir, then add the cumin powder, sweet paprika powder, a little salt, a little pepper and stir again.
Step 4: Add the natural vegetable broth, stir and let it cook for 5 minutes, after 5 minutes, remove from the heat and our delicious stewed chickpeas are ready.
Tips To Prepare It
To prepare this recipe of stewed chickpeas, we use canned chickpeas, remove them from the jar and place them under the tap to remove all the collagen.
Use good quality canned chickpeas for a better result, but if you wish, you can also use cooked chickpeas prepared at home.
To these stewed chickpeas you can add other vegetables such as carrots, zucchini or whatever you like.
