Ingredients
- 400 g / 14 oz / 0.88 lb cooked chickpeas
- 400 g / 14 oz / 0.88 lb cod cut into bite size pieces
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 1 grated tomato
- 500 ml / 16.9 fl. oz. of fish and seafood fumet (can be fish only)
- 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
- Salt to taste
- Olive oil
How To Make It
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our chickpeas with cod, for this, in a pot with a little olive oil and medium heat, add the onion, garlic and let it cook for 2 minutes, then add the grated tomato, sweet paprika powder, cumin, stir and let cook 1 minute.
Step 2: Add the cooked chickpeas and stir, then add the fish and seafood fumet and when it starts to boil, add the cod pieces (previously salted), cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, remove from heat, serve in a deep dish, add some fresh parsley and we can enjoy these delicious chickpeas with cod, express version.
Tips To Prepare It
To prepare this recipe of chickpeas with cod, we use canned chickpeas, remove them from the jar and place them under the tap to remove all the collagen.
Use good quality canned chickpeas for a better result, but if you wish, you can also use cooked chickpeas prepared at home.
