Today we are going to show you how to prepare a delicious leek cream, a very easy recipe that you will have ready in a few minutes, you can also prepare enough quantity and reserve in the refrigerator, it holds very well for at least 2 or 3 days, preparing it is a very simple task, basically they are made with the same process of all the soups and creams that we have taught you to prepare, what varies a little are the ingredients or spices to use and also the cooking time, it will depend a little on the vegetables that we use.
This cream has a very creamy texture just by using the vegetables and a natural vegetable broth, it is perfect, there are those who add cream or milk cream, but we consider that it is not necessary at all, because if we use the right amounts, we will achieve a perfect creamy texture, we also think that cream or milk cream can counteract the flavor of our leek cream, that is why we never use it.
Ingredients
- 4 leeks cut in pieces (only the white part)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 potato cut into pieces
- 700 ml. / 23.6 oz. of natural vegetable broth
- Cheese cut into cubes for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
How To Make It
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our leek cream, for this, in a pot with a little olive oil and over medium heat, add the onion and let it cook for 3 minutes.
Step 2: Add the leeks and cook for 5 minutes, then add the potatoes cut into pieces and cook for 5 more minutes.
Step 3: Add the natural vegetable broth (you can prepare it at home or buy it in supermarkets, but it is always important that it is natural for a better result), add a little salt, stir and as soon as it starts to boil, lower the heat a little and let it cook for 15 minutes or until the potatoes are soft.
Step 4: After 15 minutes, remove from the heat and pour into the blender, blend for 1 minute or until a creamy texture is obtained. Serve our leek cream in a deep dish, add some cheese cut in cubes on top and enjoy.

For this leek cream recipe we use a natural vegetable stock, you can prepare it at home or buy it ready in supermarkets, what is important is that it is natural for a better result.
Wash the leeks very well before starting the recipe and use only the white part, you can reserve the green part and use it to prepare a vegetable stock.
