Ingredients
- 400 g (14 oz / 0.88 lb) canned lentils
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 450 ml (15.2 oz) natural vegetable stock
- 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- Olive oil
How To Make It
Step 1:
We begin the preparation of our cream of lentil soup, for this, in a pot with a little olive oil and over medium heat, add the onion and let it cook for a couple of minutes, then add the chopped carrot and cook for 6 minutes more.
Step 2:
Add the canned lentils, sweet paprika, cumin, stir and let cook for 1 minute, then add the vegetable broth, a little salt, stir and just when we see that it begins to boil, cover the pot and cook for 10 minutes or until the carrot is cooked.
Step 3:
After 10 minutes, remove from heat, add the lentils in the blender, grind for 1 minute and our delicious lentil cream is ready.
Tips To Prepare It
For this cream of lentil soup recipe, you can use canned lentils or lentils from a jar or buy raw lentils and cook them at home.
You can decorate the lentil cream with whatever you like, picatoste or carrot slices, among others.
