Matcha tea is a powdered green tea that has become very famous thanks to the many benefits it brings to our health, among which are its high antioxidant power, also not only you can take matcha tea infusion but also used to prepare many recipes such as this delicious marbled chocolate cake and matcha tea.
Today we are going to show you how to prepare matcha tea, you will see how easy it is and how tasty it is, we also have several ways to prepare it, from the most basic version which is the typical matcha tea that is prepared only with water, to other versions where we add milk, which is known as matcha latte tea, which is the recipe you will learn how to make today.
There are two important steps on how to prepare matcha tea, the first one is that we must add in a ceramic bowl the matcha tea (the tradition is to do it in a bowl called chawan, but if we do not have it, we can use any ceramic bowl, we also usually measure the amount of matcha tea with a kind of teaspoon called chasaku, but we can use any teaspoon that we have at home) and then we must add hot water but not boiling (it should be about 80 degrees) as we would run the risk of burning the matcha tea, for this the easiest is to heat the water in a pot without letting it start to boil.

- 60 ml. hot water (not boiling)
- 190 ml. hot milk
How To Make It
Step 1:
We begin the preparation of our matcha latte tea, for this, in a ceramic bowl, add the matcha tea (we can sift it as shown in the video to avoid lumps), incorporate the 60 ml. of hot water (not boiling) and with the help of a whisk, we begin to dilute the tea beating for about 30 or 40 seconds or until a light layer of foam forms on top.
Step 2:
Place the mixture in a cup and then add the hot milk (you can whisk the milk to make it frothy) and our delicious matcha latte tea is ready.
Tips To Prepare It
It is very important that at the moment of adding the water to the matcha tea, it should not be boiling, since it would burn the tea.
We must dilute very well the matcha tea with the water to avoid lumps.
If you want to prepare traditional matcha tea, replace the 190 ml. of milk with water and then the process is the same, first dilute the matcha tea with the 60 ml. of water and then add the remaining water.
