In this opportunity we are going to teach you how to prepare Spanish style baked trout, an extremely simple recipe that does not require cooking knowledge and with which you can surprise family and friends, basically consists of stuffing the trout with serrano ham and garlic, and then cooking it for a few minutes in the oven.
Additionally and to make this dish more complete, we are going to include a garnish of potatoes, peppers and onion, in this way we will obtain 2 dishes in 1, as we will show you below in our step by step.
Ingredients
- 1 trout
- 3 slices of serrano ham (to taste)
- 1 potato cut into slices
- 1 onion cut in julienne strips
- 1/2 red bell pepper cut into strips
- 1 sliced garlic clove
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
How To Make It
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our baked trout, for this, we preheat the oven to 200º C / 390 ºF, then, in a bowl we will place the potatoes, add a little salt, pepper and olive oil, then add the bell pepper, onion, add another little bit of salt and oil and cook in the oven for 15 minutes.
Step 2: While the potatoes are cooking, stuff the trout with the slices of Serrano ham and garlic, then after 15 minutes, remove the tray from the oven and place the trout on top, cook in the oven for 20 minutes more and now we just have to enjoy this delicious baked trout.
Tips To Prepare It
To prepare this baked trout we recommend using fresh trout, ask your fishmonger to clean it.
You can stuff the trout with other ingredients such as peppers, onion or spinach for example.
