If we talk about Cuban gastronomy, the first thing that comes to mind is the classic Cuban pork that we can prepare either baked or barbecued and that is popularly found in its most famous sandwiches such as the midnight sandwich and the Cuban sandwich, today we teach you how to prepare a baked pork tenderloin with that Cuban style that we assure you will be one of your favorites both when preparing sandwiches and to eat alone as a main dish, follow our step by step videos and learn how to prepare this delicious Cuban recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 kg / 35.2 oz / 2.2 lb of pork loin
- 200 ml. / 6.76 oz orange juice
- 50 ml / 1.69 oz of lime juice
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 2 teaspoons oregano
- 9 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Olive oil
How To Make It
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our pork loin Cuban style, for this in a container suitable for the oven we place the pork loin, add salt, pepper, oregano, cumin and spread them well over the entire surface, then add the orange juice, lime juice, garlic cloves and take it to the refrigerator for 12 hours.
Step 2: Once the marinating time is over, we are going to seal our pork loin, for this we add olive oil in a frying pan, when it gets hot we place the pork loin (only the loin, we leave the juices and the garlic in the oven dish) and we cook it until it is golden on all sides.
Step 3: We put our pork loin back in the baking dish and finally take it to the oven for 40 minutes at 180 ºC / 356 °F or until we obtain an internal temperature of 71 ºC / 159 ºF, remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving it.
Tips To Prepare It
Towards the middle and end of baking bathe the pork loin with its juices.
If you do not have enough time to marinate the pork loin, try to leave it marinating for at least 2 hours.
