Shrimps a la diabla | Camarones a la diabla
Dish: Appetizer
Quantity: 2
Country: Mexico
If you love spicy food, you can't miss these camarones a la diabla, a typical Mexican dish that is quick and easy to prepare, for it, we can use shrimps or prawns (frozen or fresh), known in Latin America as camarones.
Before starting to prepare the shrimps a la diabla, it is important to have the shrimps or prawns peeled and cleaned, to do this we must remove the head, the tail, the shell and finally remove the intestines, which is nothing more than making a cut in the back of the shrimp or prawn and removing a kind of black vein.
The camarones a la diabla are prepared with some varieties of Mexican peppers, among them are the guajillo pepper, the chile de arbol and the chipotle pepper, but if you cannot find them in your supermarket, you can look for them in online shops or in Mexican shops, for example the chipotle pepper is normally available in almost all countries.
One of the advantages of preparing shrimp a la diabla at home, is that we can always adapt the level of spiciness to our taste, either by adding more chili or using only one of them, as is the case of this recipe where we are only going to use the chipotle chili.
