Today we are going to prepare a very traditional recipe, one of those that can never be missing in our recipe book and that since I was a child I used to eat a lot, it is chicken stew, a very delicious dish, besides making this recipe is very easy and the result is a very tender and juicy chicken that everyone will love.
Ingredients
- 8 pieces of chicken thigh
- 1 red bell pepper cut into small squares
- 1 green bell pepper cut into small squares
- 1 large onion cut into small squares
- 2 garlic cloves chopped
- 390 g. of chopped skinless tomatoes
- 1 bay leaf
- 150 ml. of white wine
- 700 ml. chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
How To Make It
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our chicken stew, for this, we salt and pepper our chicken, then in a pan with a little oil and medium high temperature, we are going to seal them until golden brown, remove and set aside.
Step 2: In the same pan, where we sealed our chicken, we are going to add the red bell pepper, green bell pepper, onion, garlic and cook for 5 minutes, then add the tomato, wine, let it cook for 10 more minutes.
Step 3: Add the chicken pieces, broth, bay leaf and cook for 25 minutes more.
Step 4: Once the cooking time has elapsed, remove from the heat and our stewed chicken is ready, enjoy it.
Tips To Prepare It
For this chicken stew recipe we use chicken broth, if you don't have it, you can use water.
What can we accompany this recipe with?
This chicken stew can be served with many side dishes such as baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, white rice, spaghetti (bathed in the same sauce as the chicken) or whatever you like.
