Ingredients
- 1 kg. / 2.2 lbs. / 35.2 oz. pork ribs, chopped
- 1 onion cut into small squares
- 2 garlic cloves chopped
- 1/2 green bell pepper cut into small squares
- 1/2 red bell pepper cut into small squares
- 2 carrots cut in small squares
- 600 ml. / 20.2 fl. oz. of beef broth
- 100 ml. / 3.4 fl. oz. white wine
- 250 ml. / 8.5 fl. oz. of crushed natural tomatoes
- 1 sprig of fresh rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
How To Make It
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our stewed ribs, for this, we salt and pepper our pork ribs and add them in a casserole at medium heat and with a little olive oil, we will cook them until they are golden brown, remove them and set aside.
Step 2: In the same pan, add the onion, garlic and let cook for a couple of minutes, then add the carrots, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, stir and let cook for 4 minutes, then add the crushed tomato, stir, add a little salt and let cook for 4 minutes.
Step 3: Add the meat broth, the pork ribs, stir, add the rosemary sprig and when it starts to boil, lower the heat a little, cover and cook for 35 minutes. Once the cooking time is over, remove from the heat and our delicious stewed ribs are ready.
Tips To Prepare It
To prepare this recipe of stewed ribs, we can use pork ribs as in this occasion or beef ribs, additionally we will use basic ingredients such as onion, garlic, peppers, among others, with which we will prepare a sofrito that will be in charge of providing a lot of flavor to our recipe.
Remove the excess fat from the ribs and cut them into pieces for stewing, you can also ask your butcher to do this job for you.
