Arepa de chicharrón (pork belly cracklings arepa)
Dish: Appetizer
Quantity: 4
Country: Venezuela
In this opportunity we are going to prepare arepa de chicharrón a variant of the traditional arepa, to make it we only need precooked corn flour, pork belly, water and salt. In the case of chicharron we can use pork belly and cook it and then chop it into small pieces and add it to the dough or if you want something more practical and quicker you can use bagged pork belly or also called crust, although we recommend using fresh pork belly for this arepa de chicharron recipe, since the flavor in the final result is much better.
We invite you to watch our step by step videos where we will show you how to prepare arepa de chicharrón, a recipe to enjoy with the family and that will be really delicious.
