The arrabiata sauce is a typical sauce of Italian cuisine that is prepared in a very simple way and with very basic ingredients, basically is a spicy tomato sauce that is usually prepared to accompany any type of pasta, such as spaghetti, macaroni or rigatoni, as for the ingredients to prepare it, we only need tomato, garlic and dried chili or peperoncino, with these simple and few ingredients, we will obtain a wonderful sauce that you will surely cook regularly at home .
Ingredients
- 400 g. (14 oz / 0.88 lb) whole peeled tomatoes
- 1 whole garlic clove
- 3 chopped dried chili or peperoncino peppers
- Salt to taste
- Olive oil
How To Make It
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our arrabiata sauce, for this, we remove the water from the tomatoes and crush them with the help of a fork, then in a pot with a little olive oil and at medium temperature, we incorporate the garlic clove, the chili peppers or chopped peperoncino and cook for a couple of minutes.
Step 2: Add the crushed tomatoes, a little salt and stir, then cover and cook for 12 minutes, stirring from time to time. After 12 minutes, remove from the heat and our delicious arrabiata sauce is ready.
Tips To Prepare It
If you are not a fan of spicy sauce, you can lower the amount of chili in the arrabiata sauce.
