- 800 g. broccoli cut into florets
- 60 g. butter
- 60 g. all-purpose flour
- 500 ml. of hot milk (not boiling)
- 100 g. mozzarella cheese
- 100 g. Parmesan cheese
- Nutmeg to taste
- Salt and pepper to taste
How To Make Broccoli au gratin with bechamel
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our broccoli au gratin, for this, in a saucepan with boiling water and a little salt, add the broccoli and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, then remove the broccoli from the water, let it drain well and set aside.
Step 2: On the other hand we are going to prepare our bechamel sauce, for it, in a frying pan at medium temperature, we are going to place the butter until it melts, then we add the flour and with the help of some rods, we stir without stopping until we form a roux (a kind of paste), then we add the hot milk and we continue stirring until we obtain a thick texture, we add the nutmeg, the salt, the pepper, we mix and we already have our bechamel sauce ready.
Step 3: In a baking dish, add the broccoli, the béchamel sauce on top, the mozzarella cheese, the Parmesan cheese and take our broccoli to the oven to grill for 10 minutes or until golden brown, remove the broccoli from the oven and serve.
