Ingredients
- 1 shortcrust pastry
- 3 eggs
- 180 g. cooked bacon
- 200 ml. of cooking cream or single cream
- 100 ml. of milk
- 100 g. of grated gruyere cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
How To Make It
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our cheese and bacon quiche, for this, we will place our shortcrust pastry in a baking dish and with the help of a fork we will prick it so that it does not rise at the time of cooking, place on top parchment paper or baking paper (you can use the same paper that brings the shortcrust pastry) and take it to the oven for 10 minutes at 180 ºC / 356 ºF.
Step 2: Remove from the oven, remove the parchment paper and return to the oven for 5 more minutes, after 5 minutes, remove from the oven and set aside.
Step 3: In a bowl we are going to add the eggs, the cooking cream, the milk and with the help of a whisk we beat very well, then we add a little salt, a little pepper, the bacon, the cheese and we integrate.
Step 4: Pour the mixture into our cake and bake it in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes at 180 ºC / 356 ºF. (the cooking time will also depend on your oven, since not all are the same, as soon as you see that it is golden brown on the surface, it is ready), remove from the oven and we have our delicious cheese and bacon quiche ready.
Tips To Prepare It
To prepare this recipe, we use a shortcrust pastry that comes ready to use, you can find it in any supermarket.
Add just a pinch of salt to the quiche mixture as the bacon will also contribute its part and thus we avoid salty.
For this cheese and bacon quiche recipe, we use gruyere cheese, if you don't have it, you can substitute it with emmental cheese.
