Ingredients
- 100 g. of precooked corn flour
- 240 g. crumbled fresh cheese
- 1 beaten egg
- 50 ml. milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
How To Make It
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our almojábanas, to do this, preheat the oven to 220 ºC / 396 ºF, then, in a bowl add the precooked corn flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and stir, then add the cheese and mix well until a dough is formed, add the beaten egg and continue kneading, then add the milk and knead again until a homogeneous dough is obtained.
Step 2: Take a portion of the dough and shape it into a ball, then flatten it a little and place it on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, repeat this step until all the dough is used up.
Step 3: Llevamos para el horno y cocinamos por entre 15 y 20 minutos (o hasta ver que tomen color dorado) luego apartamos del horno y ya tenemos listas nuestras riquísimas almojábanas.

The original recipe for almojábanas is prepared with curd. If it is difficult to obtain, you can prepare it with fresh cheese.
