Ingredients
- 24 pieces of wonton dough
- 250 g. / 8.8 oz. / 0.55 lb. minced or ground pork
- 160 g. / 5.64 oz. / 0.35 lb. raw and peeled shrimp
- 2 stalks of chives, chopped
- 2 shitake mushrooms cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Salt to taste
How To Make It
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our fried wonton, for this, in the glass of a food processor we add the minced pork, raw shrimp, chives, mushrooms and we will process very well to integrate, then we place this mixture in a bowl and add the soy sauce, sesame oil, oyster sauce, a little salt, cornstarch and with the help of the hands we mix everything very well.
Step 2: We take a piece of wonton dough and we are going to fill it as shown in the video, then we close it very well, making a kind of bag (we repeat this step until we use up all the pieces of wonton, if you have leftover filling, you can freeze it for future elaborations).
Step 3: In a pot or deep frying pan over medium heat, add plenty of oil (enough for the wontons to be submerged). When we see that it is already hot, add the wontons and fry them until they turn golden brown (between 3 and 4 minutes, depending on the size), then remove them from the oil, place them on absorbent paper to remove the excess fat and we are ready to fry our delicious fried wontons.
Tips To Prepare It
Do not use a very high heat to avoid burning the wonton.
You can find the sauces in supermarkets or Asian stores.
As for the dough to prepare fried wonton, it is best to buy it ready-made in supermarkets or Asian stores. They come in packages of approximately 30 pieces and cost between 2 and 3 dollars.
