Marbled sponge cake

Today we are going to show you how to prepare one of our favorites, the marble cake, a cake that we love both for its contrasts of flavors and for its wonderful presentation and attractiveness, which makes it perfect for when we have guests at home but it is also ideal for breakfast or snack, accompanied of course by a nice cup of coffee.
The marbled cake is an uncomplicated recipe, basically we start from a yogurt cake which we will divide into two parts, the first part we will leave it as it is (it will have vanilla flavor) and the second part we will add chocolate, then we join both mixtures and the result is a wonderful marbled vanilla and chocolate cake.
Ingredients
- 210 g. (1 3/4 cups) all-purpose flour (sifted)
- 200 g. (1 cup) white sugar
- 3 eggs size L
- 125 g. (1/2 cup) plain yogurt
- 115 g. (1/2 cup) sunflower oil
- 16 g. (1 tablespoon) of baking powder
- 15 g. (2 tablespoons) cocoa powder (100% pure)
- 20 ml. (4 teaspoons) vanilla essence
- Pinch of salt
How To Make It
Step 1:
We begin the preparation of our marbled sponge cake, for this, in a bowl mix the flour, baking powder and set aside.
Step 2:
In another bowl add the eggs, sugar and with the help of an electric mixer, beat until it doubles its volume and takes a light yellow color, then add the yogurt, oil, vanilla essence, a pinch of salt and continue beating.
Step 3:
Add half of the flour mixture and the yeast and with the help of a whisk, integrate very well, then add the rest of the flour and continue mixing until it is perfectly integrated.
Step 4:
Separate the mixture into two halves, take one of the halves and add the cocoa powder and mix well until well blended.
Step 5:
In a mold (floured and with parchment paper) add a part of the vanilla mixture, then on top another with the chocolate mixture and repeat this process until both mixtures are used up (as shown in the video) the last mixture should be the vanilla mixture, then we take our marbled cake to the oven at 180 ºC / 356 °F for 50 minutes (preheated oven).
Step 6:
Once the baking time is over, remove our cake from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes and unmold it, let it rest on a wire rack and our delicious marbled cake is ready.
Tips To Prepare It
You must use 100% pure cocoa to prepare this marble cake recipe.
The mold must be previously floured and with a baking paper base to make it easier to unmold the cake.
It is important to preheat the oven before baking the cake.
