Today we are going to prepare one of their most popular Indian appetizers, their delicious samosas, a kind of triangular-shaped dumpling that is filled with vegetables or with different types of meats very well spiced, additionally can be accompanied with different types of sauces, such as this rich cilantro and mint chutney, follow our step by step videos, where we will show you how to make meat samosas and if you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment.
Ingredients
- 500 gr. of minced pork meat
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 grated garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon of grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon of curry (you can use the one sold ready-made in supermarkets)
- 1 tablespoon turmeric
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 package of dough for samosas or spring rolls (you can buy them in any Asian supermarket)
- Chilli to taste
- 100 gr. of chopped fresh coriander
- Juice of half a lemon
- 1 tablespoon salt
- Sunflower oil
How To Make It
Step 1:
We begin the preparation of our samosas, for this, in a frying pan over medium heat add the vegetable oil, as soon as it is hot add the onion and garlic and let it cook for a couple of minutes.
Step 2:
Add the grated ginger, mix and let it cook for a couple of minutes.
Step 3:
Add the pork and the spices (curry, turmeric, cumin, chili and salt), mix and let it cook for 10 minutes or until the meat is done.
Step 4:
After 10 minutes add the chopped coriander, lemon juice and mix; Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 5:
On the other hand we take a sheet of samosa dough and place it on a flat surface and with the help of a sharp knife cut into strips of about 3 cm as I show you in the video
Step 6:
We take one of the strips and add a little of our filling and wrap it creating a triangle as you can see in the video, finally with the help of a brush, apply a little water on the edge of the dough to stick and close properly.
Step 7:
In a pan with oil over medium heat, we will incorporate our samosas and cook slowly until golden brown, remove from oil and enjoy!
Tips To Prepare It
Serve the meat samosas freshly cooked so that they do not lose their crispiness.
In the cooking process of the samosas, use a medium heat, as they should be cooked slowly so that the dough does not spoil.
