Ingredients
- 500 ml. (2 cups) of whole milk
- 125 g. (4.4 oz) dark chocolate
- 3 egg yolks
- 30 g. (1/4 cup) cornstarch
- 150 g. (3/4 cup) sugar
- Cookies to decorate
How To Make It
Step 1:
We begin the preparation of our chocolate custard, for this, in a pot at medium low temperature, we will place the milk, the chocolate and let it cook until the chocolate is completely melted, when we see that the mixture begins to boil we remove it from the heat.
Step 2:
On the other hand, in a bowl, add the egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch and with the help of a whisk, beat vigorously until a clear mixture is obtained.
Step 3:
Add the milk and chocolate mixture to our yolks (little by little and stirring constantly) when we see that it is perfectly integrated, add it back into the pot and put it over medium heat until it thickens, it is very important that it does not boil because it will spoil, this process takes a few minutes, so be patient that little by little you will see how it begins to take thick texture, when we have the thick texture, remove from heat, pour into molds, cover with plastic wrap and let the chocolate custard cool in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
Step 4:
After 3 hours, remove our natillas de chocolate from the refrigerator and serve with a little crushed cookie on top.
Tips To Prepare It
When taking the chocolate custard to the refrigerator, you should cover it with plastic wrap to prevent the cold from spoiling it.
