Ingredients
- 500 g / 17.6 oz whole tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 basil leaf
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
How To Make It
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our Neapolitan sauce, for this, in a pan with a little olive oil and medium heat, add the onion, garlic and let cook for 3 minutes, then add the tomatoes and stir, then add a little salt, basil leaf, stir again and let cook until no tomato juices are left (about 15 minutes approximately).
Step 2: When there are no more tomato juices left (as we show you in the video), remove from the heat, pour into a bowl, blend very well and our delicious Neapolitan sauce is ready.
Tips To Prepare It
To prepare this Neapolitan sauce recipe, you can use whole peeled tomatoes from a jar or natural whole tomatoes.
You can also make the Neapolitan sauce without blending it in the blender.
