The saganaki is a recipe of Greek gastronomy that has gained place in other cuisines worldwide, originally this dish is based on feta cheese but over time other variants have been created with ingredients such as shrimp, mushrooms or squid, among others.
To prepare saganaki we will use only 3 ingredients such as feta cheese, egg and bread crumbs, although some people substitute this last ingredient with wheat flour, we can also add other ingredients such as honey, sesame seeds, pepper or rosemary, among others.

- 1 feta cheese (approximately 220 g.)
- 1 beaten egg for breading
- Bread crumbs for breading
- Oil for frying
How To Make It
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our saganaki, for it, in a plate we add a beaten egg, we incorporate the feta cheese and we cover it completely, then we coat it in bread crumbs covering it also completely.
Step 2: In a frying pan with vegetable oil over medium high heat, add the cheese and cook for 3 minutes or until golden brown, remove from heat and our delicious saganaki is ready.
Tips To Prepare It
As for the feta cheese we can cut it as we like, according to the size of the cheese we can cook it whole, cut it into strips, triangles or cubes, this goes a little to taste.
You can add a touch of lemon to enhance the flavor of the saganaki.
