How To Make It
Step 1: To prepare Mexican totopos, the first thing to do is to cut the corn tortillas in the shape of triangles as shown in the video, then place a frying pan over medium heat with plenty of sunflower oil, when we see that the oil is already hot, we incorporate little by little our totopos and we are going to cook them for a couple of minutes or until we see that they begin to take a more intense yellow color as shown in the video, once they are ready, we place them on absorbent paper to remove excess fat and now we just have to enjoy these delicious Mexican totopos.
Tips To Prepare It
When frying the tortilla chips, you must do it in batches, so that they cook perfectly.
One of the important and fundamental points when preparing homemade tortilla chips, is that we must use corn tortillas from the day before, therefore, if we buy the ones that come packaged in the supermarket, we must open the package in advance (between 1 and 2 days before).
