Yucca is a tuber mostly grown in Latin American countries, it is also known as cassava and is widely used in South American cuisine although with the passage of time, is making its way into other cuisines in the rest of the world, there are many recipes that we can prepare with it, as in the case of today in which we will make fried yucca.
A simple recipe that basically consists of cooking a little yucca in boiling water and then frying it until it is golden brown and very crispy, we can eat the fried yucca as an appetizer accompanied by a rich guasacaca sauce, garlic sauce, salsa brava, ketchup, mayonnaise or the sauce that we like, it is also an ideal garnish to our meals or to accompany a delicious barbecue.

How To Make It
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our “yuca frita”, for this, we cut the ends of the yucca, then we remove the skin and then we cut it into sticks, then we are going to submerge them in boiling salted water for about 10 minutes.
Step 2: After the cooking time, remove the yuccas from the water and let them drain, then in a frying pan with oil and medium heat, add the yucca sticks and let them cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until they are golden brown, remove from the heat, place them on absorbent paper to remove excess fat and we have ready this delicious fried yucca.

For this recipe we can cut the yucca as we like, in sticks, slices or simply in pieces.
